Blessing of the Fleet, Geraldton

The Blessing of the Fleet is a unique day centered around the fishing industry in Geraldton. The scenic location and usually beautiful weather in late October makes for a must see tourist stop to anyone travelling through Western Australia from all over the world.

The Geraldton Blessing of the Fleet was first started by local commercial fisherman and has been running almost continually since the early 1900s. In more recent times organisation and local significance of this iconic event has diminished, however since 2006, the event continues.
