Multiplex Avon Descent

The Avon Descent is Western Australia’s own unique sporting event that attracts competitors and spectators from throughout Australia and overseas. Competitors challenge the Avon and Swan rivers in a variety of paddle and power craft in an exciting two-day time trial over 134 gruelling kilometres. The action packed white water race is a great event for spectators. Low water levels for the 2010 event resulted in an exhausting race for competitors, but great fun for spectators. The 2011 race is sure to have competitors keen to come back to conquer the Avon and Swan Rivers.
