More than 1,500 Australian and international triathletes will tackle the gruelling yet fast course consisting of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km marathon. Over 5000 spectators will witness the evnt, which offers 40 qualifying spots for the pinnacle event, Ironman Hawaii.
